I have been working with and caring for people of all ages and a wide range of conditions or specific needs for 25 years. My main focus is helping elderly folks, although I maintain an OCCS certification for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, along with current First Aid and CPR training. I currently care for an individual with autism in the Boston area. I started my career in early childhood education in my late 20s. While going to school, I was employed as a nanny. The little boy I cared for had cerebral palsy. He had some minor developmental difficulties and I really loved helping him overcome his obstacles to reach the milestones we all struggle to reach as we grow. It made me want to do more. So I found a job at an association for the blind and learned how to teach sign language to deaf and blind people. From there I learned a lot more and went on to working with other individuals with special needs.

Janet was hired to provide care as part of my father's hospice team. We found her to be professional, friendly and efficient. And she bakes the best chocolate chip brownies! I would strongly recommend her with no reservation.
