I have experience working with kids with many different types of special needs and I treat them as I do any other child. I am a strong believer that just because a person is challenged cognitively, physically, or emotionally it does not mean they should be treated with less respect than others. I have worked with kids with special needs in CO where I volunteered at a therapeutic horse riding camp. I have worked with students in high school helping out in the Special Education Classrooms during my study period. I have also had experience babysitting kids with autism, Down Syndrome, ADD/ADHD, and other special needs. I am going to school to become a therapeutic riding instructor and physical education teacher with certification in adapted physical education. I enjoy spending time with kids with all different types of challenges, I believe they can learn anything, if people take the time to teach them.
