As a special education teacher I feel that it is my duty to make a change and help the children with the love and care and proper tools to be a successful adult in the future. I have made a difference in many children's lives, but I found it conflicting to work in a school system that seems to be about the money and less about the well being of the child. I believe that working with a child on a 1:1 basis is beneficial for the child. Working in a classroom gave me lots of experience, but the more experience I gained the more paperwork became overwhelming and took away with my interaction with the children. This is why I no longer feel the need to work in the classroom.
