Hello! I live in Madison, CT with my 88-year-old mother. I have two grown children, 28, who lives near Boston; and 26, who is in NYC. Previously I worked as an employment counselor but for the last 4 years I have been working in elder care on the shoreline while caring for my mother as well. I currently have four permanently scheduled elderly clients, who need me primarily for driving and companionship, but also for cooking, light housekeeping, help with laundry, dishes, and paperwork. I have experience with deafness, dementia, chemo appointments, and walking assistance. I enjoy shopping, playing cards, doing the crossword puzzle and cooking. Currently I have permanent hours with some clients, but I am also on call for clients who occasionally need me to drive them, help them grocery shop, or take them to hair and doctor's appointments. I usually work between 9 and 5 at the latest. But if at some point I decide to accept a live-in situation for one client full time.
