I began caring for children as an educational paraprofessional for the NYC school district working with Special needs children in the mid 70's and early 80's. This experience prepared me for a life long career of learning and providing loving care, guiding the well-being, safety and development of young children. My background includes having a registered and accredited In-Home Family Child Care and teaching positions in daycare centers and recently as a Nanny. I have 2 years of college, with both Infant/Toddler & Preschool Child Development Associate's. I am also certified in CPR and First Aid. My positions in childcare have included: Preschool teacher, Pre-K teacher, a math & phonics enrichment specialist, after school coordinator and as Teacher Mentor and New Hire Trainer. Recently, I began training to be a certified Doula and branched into caring for children as a Nanny.
