I have worked in public schools as a teacher since 1990. My current areas of certification are Elementary Education grades 1-6, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Exceptional Student Education Pre-K through grade 12 and Mental Handicaps. My area of specialization surrounds young children with developmental or health impairments. I am trained in the administration and functional behavior analysis. I have worked with students with multiple health issues. I am trained in seizure disorders and the use of VNS devices. I have worked with students who have g-tubes, trachs and feeding issues. I can implement plans written by occupational or physical therapists. I am also very familiar with functional behavioral analysis and the writing of behavior improvement plans. I am also quite successful in potty training young children with developmental delays.
