Hello! My name is Becca. I am 20 years old and this is my second year at a University in St. Paul, MN! Although I don't have a lot of experience with special needs children, I really am wanting to learn and I have confidence that I would still be a great caregiver in this specific area. My mom works at a group home with special needs adults, and she works with a woman that comes to our home that I interact with and have a great relationship with. Overall though, all of the jobs that I have had in the past have been working with children, so I am already an experienced nanny. I feel as though I would be an appropriate caregiver because I am a loving individual with a very lively personality. I am reliable and organized, as well as I feel like I am a very patient person as well. I'm a very active person and love sports! I played soccer, hockey, and track in high school and I also love to rollerblade, kayak, and go fishing! Besides being an active person, I am also very musical. I love singing and I used to play the drums as well. I am a very open minded individual and I love learning and trying new things overall. With the most recent nanny position I had this summer, the kids and I did tons of arts and crafts and I have many that I would love to show your children! I, myself, am a very crafty person on my own so being able to share the things that I love to do with other people is always special to me because I love teaching and showing people new things. I feel as though using imagination is important for children so that they can embrace being kids! Besides from arts and crafts, I also love to cook and when I nanny if it works out I love to include the children to help me cook because I know growing up I always loved to help my mom cook too. I hope that you will take into my consideration my profile even though I don't have an immense amount of experience working with special needs children. Working with children is something I am passionate about, and in specific I would like to grow more and also work with special needs children because I have loved the relationships that I have made thus far with the individuals that my mom works with in her career. I potentially want to have a career working with children with special needs after I graduate from Hamline! Thanks :) Becca
