I have raised three children, 2 boys ages 25 & 22. Both college graduates and I am proud to say that in this economy have both found employment in their field of study after graduation. My daughter is age 19 and following her passion as a sophomore at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia majoring in modern dance. I know my husband of 33 years and I have given them a good foundation, you get through the infant then toddler, preteen, teen, etc and then your job is over, no more worry, well now I know what my mom had said, you never stop no matter what age. Once you have children they are your first priority forever. I was lucky enough to be able to be a stay at home mom. Since 1998 I have been a member in the Screen Actors Guild Union doing background and stand-in work in over 80 featured movies, TV & commercials. Fortunately, I was always able to work around the kid's schedule. From 2006 to 2009 I volunteered with the Long Island Riding for the Handicapped, Association assisting handicapped children in meeting the challenge of horseback riding during riding therapy. Currently, I volunteer at LIJ Cohen's Children's Hospital with an organization called "Sunrise on Wheels". We try to help the chronically ill children's time at the hospital a little brighter by doing crafts, playing board games, reading etc. This also gives the mom's and dad's a little break as well. Every time I leave those kids I have to say they inspire me more than I can express with their strength, humor and ability to deal with the unimaginable. I truly get such joy out of children, for they are truthful boundless little bodies of energy.
