I have been working with children with special needs since I was 14 years old. I began because my mom told me "my face lights up" when I'm around them. I was a a teacher for the two years at Children With Autism Making Progress, a summer program in the San Fernando Valley. I was in charge of my own classroom where I taught classes and led activities for about 10 students. I also have 4 years of experience working at an after school program for children with disabilities and special needs ranging from autism to Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. I also worked with the Center for Behavioral Sciences, mostly working with children under the age of 3 with developmental delays or disabilities. Working with these children has been so fulfilling, and it is one of my biggest passions!
