I was employed at the Arc of Northern Rhode Island as a physical therapy aid for approximately 4 years. During this time I was responsible for approximately 20 mentally and physically challenged adults, the care and safety of clients during transfers to and from their wheelchairs, perform physical therapy on clients while following the program that was prepared by the physical therapist, making schedules for client's appointments throughout the week, and most importantly, gave the clients the encouragement and support that was needed to keep up their moral and to help them increase their mobility. My greatest joy about this job was being able to see my clients make improvements. I love to help people.
