Hello, my name is Andrea and I am a senior studying early, elementary, and special education. I received a 4.0 this semester. I am very passionate and patient and would call myself a people person. Why I am passionate at what I do is because of my own personal experience. I had emergency brain surgery when I was 14 years old and although I beat the odds I could have been physically and mentally disabled. I know that people with disabilities can be looked down at and I am strongly against that. I want to gain more experience so that one day I can become the best special education teacher I can be. I enjoy making a difference in someone's life and I enjoy my major in general. I am not doing this job for the money or the summers off. I truly have a passion to make a difference in peoples lives whether they have a disability or not. I also have a little cousin who is slightly autistic and have experience being around him. I taught him how to hit a ball. I just love what I do and would enjoy any experience I can get.
