I grew up with siblings with special needs, ever since have always had a passion for helping people. When I arrived at college I decided to gain a specialization in special education, where I take classes that prep you on working and teaching people with special needs. For two summers, I have worked with adults with autism on building skills for every day life and finding employment. Last semester I held an internship at the May Institute where I worked with students of varying disabilities. I have a vast knowledge of applied behavior analysis as well as communication disorders. I hope to gain employment in Speech Pathology, Early Intervention with autism when I graduate.
