I have worked with moderate/ severe preschool children with various disabilities (Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Speech Impaired) and currently teaching in an inclusion classroom. Student taught in a high/moderate Autism classroom, and in an infant/toddler early intervention program. I have experience implementing effective instructional and behavior management strategies. I believe that the development of a child is precious. Children deserve to be nurtured, valued as individuals, respected, guided, loved, and most importantly to have trustworthy and positive relationships. I believe that every child, despite their disabilities, has potential. Focusing on their strengths and providing them with resources to help meet their needs and to improve their quality of life are my objectives.
