I grew up with my brother having ADHD. My aunt is an RN foster parent who often handles the most extreme cases of infants dealing with drug withdrawal, acid reflex, mental retardation, and many other handicaps. I have assisted her in the past, and am there on many occasions. My cousin has spina bifida and has been through countless surgeries. I can speak sign language very well. When in grade school there was always a hearing impaired individual in my class, and we were taught right along with them. I have my bachelors in Exercise & Wellness and am currently getting my Masters in Exercise Physiology. Although special needs isn't in the title of my degrees, I have taken many classes on how to "deal" and assist with individuals with special needs. I also am interested in learning what it takes to help with your special needs child.
