About Wendy

I lost my father to Alzheimer's almost 6 years ago. I've also experienced it with my father in law. We moved in with him to take care of him as he was at the beginning of dementia and he just recently passed away. I truly understand the pain the family members are going through as you watch your loved one simply drift away. I am extremely upbeat with an outgoing personality. I know how to talk to dementia patients and comfortable with just listening and going along with conversations. Although I am not a nurse, I am a retired school teacher of 30+ years. I'm creative and patient as well as active and organized. My father suffered with this horrible disease for 13 years so I'm well aware of the many stages. My goal is to hopefully give the caregiver a well deserved break while simply being there for the patient.
