About Vernicia

I am an education major and I have worked with special needs children in the school setting for about 2 years. I have worked with children who have various learning, physical, and behavioral disabilities including autism, Cerebral palsy, and emotionally disturbed. I have also worked as a Practicum teacher and Activity Leader. These positions allowed me the opportunity to work with a range of children from kindergarten-5th grade. I prepare my own lessons, increased students' reading scores, and worked closely with teachers, students and parents to enrich the students' learning experiences. I enjoy working with children because of the joy that comes from helping them learn something new or further their knowledge of something they already know.
