About Valerie

I'd describe my personality as empathetic, motivated, patient, and level-headed. I like caring for seniors because it gives me the opportunity to give back. I'm looking for a job that is personally gratifying and meaningful. I want to be able to brighten someone's day and be a reliable support. I never want to feel like an intrusion in someone's home. I started caring for adults / seniors when I was in my 20s. Specifically, in the residential group home setting for adults with developmental disabilities. One thing you should know about me is that I'm extremely family oriented. How I treat those in my care is a direct reflection of the care I would want my family members to receive from someone else. My skills include active listening / advocacy, medication administration, organization, appointment setting, and meal prep.
