I am currently a Special Education teacher in a self-contained K/1st classroom. I am blessed to be able to work with 9 great students, 8 of my students are on the autism spectrum and 1 of my students is diagnosed with OHI. This is my 5th year working at the my current school. The school is a specialty school and it only serves students who are Autistic, have behavioral/emotional disorder and/or development delay. The first year and a half I was a substitute teacher, the next two years I was a paraprofessional in a Pre-K classroom and this is now my first year being a teacher.
