About Valerie

I have a passion for seniors and believe our elders deserve the utmost respect. As we age, we should all be able to do so peacefully and with dignity. I started caring for seniors when my grandfather aged and eventually moved in with us. After his passing, I worked in a Senior Assisted Living home and loved working there. That's when I knew geriatrics was my thing and have worked in the healthcare setting ever since. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my dogs and take them on outings such as the beach or day hikes. I plan to go back to school and pursue a graduate degree. Therefore, my availability may change from time to time. However, I still plan on working simultaneously. My skills include caring for ambulatory, wheelchair, and, bed-bound patients with all their daily living needs, along with more skilled training if needed, such as checking vital signs, tube-feedings, etc.
