I was a teacher for students with special needs, for 16 years. I taught students ages from 10 - 22. I retired from teaching in the public school system two years ago. Since that time, I worked as an assistant for a nutritionist, but I have now moved on from that position. I am passionate about care for those with special needs. I have always known that finding a way for them to communicate is crucial to their learning and understanding and always try to find a mode for their communication. I also have empathy for the parents and caregivers and understand that they also need to care for their own needs and desires.
