I have been a caregiver and aide for roughly 10 years. I have experience w/ dementia and Alzheimer's disease . In my opinion, elderly people are often the source of some of the best stories you can hear. Working with elderly people makes for an immensely rewarding career. Not only do I receive the gratitude and thanks of the people I care for, but I also find myself being thanked by a resident's family. To me helping care for someone, and ultimately improving their quality of life is as a rewarding career to have.
