My most recent position was caring for a 95 yr old man who was remarkably capable until the last six weeks of his life. I was truly blessed to work for such a loving and caring family, but unfortunately their dad just passed, (April 2024). During my shifts I prepared healthy meals, did grocery shopping, helped with errands and taking him to doctor appointments. As he declined I aided with transfers from his wheelchair to the toilet or recliner chair and some general hygiene. I also currently have a client (a woman 91), several shifts per week, who I aid with meals, companionship, assistance while using her walker (she is fairly unstable) administering evening medication, toileting assistance, dressing for bed and general bedtime routine. I am especially skilled at preparing meals that provide a sense of nurture, comfort and nutrition. I can tailor meals to specific needs and tastes. I provide my clients with patience, compassion, and meet them wherever they are at on any given day.
