Hi, I'm Tamia! I have been working with children as a teacher and as a babysitter for over 8 years. I'd describe my personality as empathetic, exciting, and creative. I have a degree in Psychology from UNCG and am currently enrolled in graduate school for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I enjoy working with kids because there is something new to learn (and to teach) everyday. Last year, I taught 8th grade ELA and I am currently a building sub at Lead Mine Elementary. Prior to teaching, I worked in preschool with children ranging from infant to kindergarten age. On select days, I babysit children of two different families and help tutor students as well. My skills include cleaning, arts and crafts, and teaching and cooking. I love engaging with children and will always have ideas for active play. I do provide my own transportation as well.
