About Taijah

I took care of my mother for many years while she battled Multiple Sclerosis, especially during the time she became bedridden. My responsibilities included helping her with all aspects of daily living bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding. I also managed her medications, coordinated with doctors for appointments, and monitored her symptoms closely to keep her comfortable. Since she was unable to move on her own, I regularly repositioned her to prevent bedsores, helped with physical therapy exercises at home, and made sure she was emotionally supported too. I believe I'd be a good fit to care for the elderly because I already understand what it means to care for someone who's vulnerable and dependent on others. I know how to be present, gentle, and consistent. I'm familiar with how memory loss can affect someone's mood, behavior, and routines, and I'm prepared to support him/her with kindness, structure, and sensitivity just like I did for my own mom
