About Tabatha

I am a former school teacher who has a tremendous love for animals. My family includes 6 dogs, 7cats, and a rat. I have had pets from the time I was a small child and I view them as family. I graduated from the University of Memphis with a B. S. in Education. I have professional education experience with children ages birth through 8/9 years. I have taught in both public and private schools. I worked as a nanny for 9 months with a baby of 3 months of age until his 1st birthday. During that time I engaged him with educational experiences such as singing songs, pointing out and naming objects, tummy time, reading stories, exposing him to different textures, and taking him on walks around the neighborhood. Being a mother of 5 provides a lot of personal experience with children. I love to engage in educational activities, arts and crafts, and general playtime that fosters imagination and creativity. I am an avid reader and encourage a life-long love of reading.
