Hello! Welcome to my profile. I'm Syd and I have been working with kids of all needs for the past 10 years. Having nannied for 100+ children, taught in a variety of school settings, and completing 1:1 interventions, I pride myself in my ability to build healthy and trusting relationships with children, maintain consistency, create engaging activities, and more. I am particularly interested in teaching reading and have completed literacy research for the past six years. I have an undergraduate degree in special education and a master's degree in reading education. I have been red cross certified since I was 12 when I took their babysitting course. My trainings include: CPR, SIDS, seizure, de-escalation, emotion regulation, among many others. I have a dog, Millie, who is beginning school training to be a reading dog.
