I hired Sydney as my first "real babysitter" (non-grandparent or friend) for my 10-month old. Being a first time mom and new to care.com and this whole babysitting thing, I was a bit nervous. She totally eased my fears and we had a text message conversation ahead of time to exchange some personal information. She proactively wanted to make me feel comfortable and I really appreciate that. She also checked in with me a couple of days before the job so I felt confident she was going to show up. She was punctual and immediately engaged with my son, winning him over. Sydney was very supportive of all of my requests like no screen time, followed instructions and even took notes on what he ate and when he slept. Apparently my son let her read him 3 books, and he never sits still enough for me to even read him one! She is very sweet, friendly and you can tell she loves kids. I will be hiring her again!
