My passion started with my Mom and her experience with Alzheimer's. Working with the professional care giver that we hired to assist, I recognized my own passion for helping people who are unable to help themselves. I started working with an individual who had congenital heart failure, diabetes and fluid intake limitations. I cooked, grocery shopped, bathed, and provided spiritual care. From this job as an independent care giver I went to work for an agency and increased my skills through hands on training. I am able to do bed baths, medication monitoring, implemented documentation of care to be shared from one provider to the next. I am able to do range of motion exercises, and stimulation of the mind through educational puzzles, games, etc. I am able to bring back a level of normalcy in that I am willing to assist them in completing their favorite activities from the past such as gardening, cooking, reading, and arts/crafts. I am a non-smoker, comfortable with pets, I am a Caregiver.

Susan was such a Blessing to us! She assisted my Grandparents who are in their 80's for several months as they both recovered from major surgery. Their safety was a priority and she helped make the necessary changes to assure they could more easily navigate their home safely. She made meals they loved and was a great support to them. Our family felt incredibly lucky to have found Susan and to have had her assistance in caring for them during a very challenging time.
