I worked with severely and mentally challenged individuals in a state facility for 12 years. I also have a nephew who has special needs. For over the last 12 years, I have been a substitute teacher - primarily working with special education children and teens. I have been called upon to work 1-1 with some of the more challenging kids on several occasions. I've come to know many of the kids very well because I've taught many of them in kindergarten right up to high school. I've been a long-term sub for special education teachers on a few occasions working with middle school aged children who have learning disabilities. Occasionally, I've tutored children who need extra support. Working with children has never seemed like a chore. I try to learn something new each day and pass it along and I try to have some fun along the way. I look forward to being of help to very busy parents. My three children are all fine young adults now. My youngest is about to turn 18 and start college in the fall. I know how stressful and crazy life can get. I'm happy to give parents a break and some peace of mind by caring for their child/children. They will be in good hands.

Susan is fantastic! She has a warm and friendly personality and interacts very well with kids. Both my kids (2 1/2 years and 9 months) took to her immediately. She is reliable, on time, and I feel very comfortable having her take care of my children. I highly recommend her!
