I decided to hire her after she agreed to a rate of $20 per hour. A week later, just two days before she was supposed to start, I checked in with her to confirm everything was good, and she confirmed it was. Based on that, we even bought sandals in her size for her to use at our home. However, the night before her scheduled start, at 10 pm, she texted me to say she would no longer be able to work for $20 per hour and wanted to raise her rate to $35. This behavior showed a lack of integrity and respect. If she had been upfront about her rate earlier, we could have adjusted or found someone else in time. I would not recommend her to anyone.
