I'd describe my personality as silly, patient, and firm. I believe in setting firm boundaries for children with a kind and patient voice. I like working with kids because they're our future! So much joy comes from leading and teaching children, they're always teaching me something or expanding my own knowledge as I'm trying to do the same for them. I believe we can better our world by encouraging children to grow up into confident, kind, and empathetic adults. I started working with kids when I was a young teenager. I grew up with 20 cousins and did a lot of babysitting through my college years. I started my day care journey in 2022 and have been primarily a toddler teacher for kids 15mos-3years old. I have subbed under incredible nursery teachers to ensure that I am confident with even our youngest learners. I have so much love in my heart for young children. Nothing fills me with the same amount of joy like a toddler learning a new skill or building confidence in speaking.

Spencer has been caring, respectful, and patient presence for our toddler daughter over the past 2 years. He’s extremely knowledgeable about best practices in child development and has worked in child care for a number of years. I have felt completely at ease as he’s watched our daughter for date nights, as well as providing childcare during occasional work days when our daycare was closed. Our daughter is sensitive and very attached to us, but she immediately bonded with Spencer and lights up when he is around. He’s great at following our routine, gently redirecting when necessary, and uses age appropriate language to engage with her. He comes highly recommended by our family and anyone would be lucky to have him as a sitter.
