About Sonya

I've had 20 years of experience in nannying and babysitting kids from infants to young teens well as many years of being an older sister. I've taken Child Development, Arts and Environmental Studies courses and am certified in child CPR and First Aid. I love babies and toddlers and I am more than happy to get kids exploring outdoors, eating healthfully and using all of their senses to learn about the world. Your little one will always be encouraged to be independent and communicate thoughtfully and compassionately. As far as parenting type goes I'd like to find a family that shares my child-rearing philosophies: encourage adventure and inquisitiveness; allow freedom and creativity; foster respect for elders and others; involvement in a range of activities like dancing, rock climbing, finding edible plants, reading, and creating music. In my free time I'm hiking, at the beach, doing yoga and/or brainstorming ways to help the planet. I am currently open to date nights and weekends!
