I have over 18 years of experience in multiple agencies, as well as in private home settings. I am currently employed by UCP caring for individuals ranging from 29-82 years of age who live with CP, MR, depression, paralysis, urinary incontinence, and other mental and physical disabilities. I'm experienced with hoyer lifts, standing lifts, CDPAP machines, transfers, feeding, toileting, completing other ADL'S (such as laundry and showers), and cooking/cleaning. I am certified in CPR, first aid, SCIP-R, feeding (including using "simply thick"), and AMAP (medication administration under an RN's license). I make medical appointments, act as an advocate when I bring them to the doctor, and ensure that medications are ordered and in- house. My friendliness and approachability result in a positive interpersonal relationship between my patient and myself, allowing me to help them to achieve their goals and be as independent as possible.
