About Sofia

I've worked with kids since my elementary days, and I've loved it ever since. I like to think of myself as a very nurturing and understanding person when working with kids. My #1 goal is to make sure every kid is given the environment to play, explore, and learn while also keeping them safe. Most frequently, I work with middle schoolers (6th-8th), but I always love the younger kids as well (1st-5th). Every summer since my sophomore year, I've run a summer camp taking care of groups of kids (all ages) and watched them while they participate in summer activities. However, I also do individual babysitting for people around my neighborhood and family friends. I have a very flexible schedule and can handle anything! I'm bilingual and know basic ASL. I've worked with children and teens on the spectrum and know and understand basic coping and communication skills. I'm working on a CPR certification (but I do have my food handlers!).
