About Skylor

I am currently teaching 1st grade, and this is my second year teaching! Before teaching I was a classroom educational assistant. I have taught ESL (English as a second language) in both Mexico and Ukraine, and managed classrooms of students from ages 3-52. Before my time teaching my experience with children was time babysitting people's children in the community, being in charge of the "2-year-old room" at our local daycare, and volunteering to babysit at a local church. I enjoy being active and out of the house, hiking, playing tennis, and spending time with my dog and my husband are my favorite pass-times. I'd describe my personality as outgoing, calm, and patient. I like working with kids because, they constantly are exploring! Working with kids gives me time to appreciate things I usually don't think about.
