About Shirlee

I was a Marine wife for 23 years & my son retired from the Marine Corp. My personality is bubbly, caring, intelligent, friendly & interested in people. I like caring for seniors because we have had the same life experiences and have plenty to share. I am a good listener and also have a wide range of interests. I cared for my mom who was in her 80's and in a wheelchair and my sister who had Early onset Alzheimer's . I would prefer a one time position or one that is part time ( 1/2 days or 2-3 days a week) I started caring for seniors when my mother was confined to a wheelchair and needed help with errands, laundry, cleaning, doing wash, transportation to Dr. appointments and cooking meals. My sister had early onset Alzheimer's in her 60's. On weekends I took her shopping, help her clean, take her for dinner out and keep her as active as possible. In my spare time, I knit, cook, work on Ancestry. com and play with my Shih Tzu dog.
