About Sheila

I'm the proud mom of a 16-year-old boy who has special needs. I'm very comfortable (and flexible) with all types of situations, including giving medications and seizures. My experience includes caring for family members as well as my "extended family." Currently, I'm working for a wonderful family in town, watching their 2 daughters, ages 6 and 7, two days a week. Previous to this position, I watched 2-year-old twins, from the time they were 4 months old. Besides that, I've watched three children (kindergartener, 2nd and 5th graders) in the morning, and gotten them ready for school, made sure they were on the bus safely and then brought the youngest to kindergarten in the afternoon. I also watch my friend's six children (ages 8 to 16), including an 11-year-old who is Autistic, at least once a week. I have experience with seniors as well. I took care of my mother-in-law who suffered from dementia for two years. I am willing to work more hours as long as it's the "right fit" for the both of us. My son recently had a kidney transplant. From the ages of 6 to 10 years old, he was on dialysis. I've changed bandages, given shots and have had much experience with special needs.
