About Sharon

I am a recently retired Elementary Teacher. I have had the pleasure of instructing in all grades from K- 8 over a 23 year career. My passions in the classroom were Language Arts and Math. I've just finished 8 years of Gifted and Talented instruction in both of these disciplines for grades 3-5. I have taken a few graduate classes for Gifted and Talented which afforded me not only a specialty certificate in the area, but helped enlighten me to all student's needs for differential instruction. Along life's way, I have raised 2 children, with 1 graduating from the college and the other attending a well known college in Boston. At this time, I enjoy providing part time childcare to a wonderful family while incorporating tutoring opportunities as time permits. My philosophy on education is simply be respectfully committed to the task while never losing sight of one's humor and willingness to adapt. Obviously, I enjoy working with the little humans in the world and would certainly appreciate the chance to help yours reach their potential, while establishing them a lifelong positive attitude towards learning.
