About Shanelle

I have a long history of caring for children. In middle school, I worked with students as a peer mentor and assisted with their transition into middle school. I currently work at a kindergarten readiness program, which prepares preschool children for kindergarten. Three time out the week, I work with the children and read books together and organize skill and comprehension building activities. This position has given me hands on experience with children in a classroom setting and allows me to develop my management skills. I briefly volunteered with the Variety Club, which works with a range of people who have disabilities. I specifically worked with young adults, between the ages of 14-19, and assisted in activities centered around music, art, and dance.
