About Sara

Hello! My name is Sara and I am a 20-year-old from Yorkville. I am a very outgoing and energetic worker who loves kids! I have 4 years of experience as a summer camp counselor at the Plano. I worked mainly with kindergarteners and first graders and was a lead counselor for the last two years of kindergarten. I had between 20-50 kindergarteners that I was responsible for every day along with a few other counselors. I am currently a sophomore attending Western Carolina University (WCU) working towards an elementary education degree with a minor in psychology. I hope to eventually teach elementary students, and build a classroom environment that is accepting of everyone and provides a safe space. I want to be that person in my students' lives that they can count on to be there for them. In addition to maintaining a 4. 0 GPA at WCU, I run for their cross country and track & field. I have also babysat for many friends and families since I was 15. I am very flexible on hours/days of the week
