I began working as a CNA and Unit Coordinator for Select Specialty Hospital, a Long Term Acute Care Hospital, where I took care of patients with a wide range of medical issues, including multiple system failure, amputations, chronic illness, cancer, paraplegic & quadriplegic's, COPD, trauma, etc. When I left Select I began working for a family clinic as a receptionist and assisted nurses with several procedures and with patient intake. I am currently employed at Boulder Community Hospital where I am a Patient Care Assistant and Unit Coordinator. My role at BCH is very similar to my role at Select when it comes to caring for patients. I assist nurses with numerous procedures, help patients with their daily activities, including bathing & dressing, help using the restroom, repositioning, assisting while eating, range of motion, mobility including helping the patient in and out of bed/chair/wheelchair, vital signs, clean and sanitize patient areas, examine patients for bruises, skin quality, bedsores, or anything abnormal. I have also worked in two day cares where I looked after children from infancy to school age for approximately 1 1/2 years.

I was very impressed how professional and hands on she was when helping me. Sarah is a natural caregiver. Any family or individual would be very lucky to have Sarah around. I learned one thing real fast meeting with Sarah. She is so unique and wonderful you wish you knew her all your life . One thing I learned is a care giver isn't just assist me with things or get me places its about truly enjoying your caregivers company and you have that in spades with Sarah.
