I was a peer tutor at the high school level for several years which allowed me to have the communication and the skills taught to me in order to help these special friends learn and develop the skills they need for their futures. Also, I baby-sit for a a family, on a regular basis, currently and for the past three years and the youngest son has Down syndrome. It has been interesting and a joy to work with special needs in the home and learn a person's way of life and how challenging it is for them.
