About Sarah

I'd describe my personality as patient, driven, and caring. I would prefer a close setting with 4 or fewer children where I can help teach them life skills and expose them to different experiences within the environment. I started working with kids when I was a senior in high school where I worked with elementary aged students at an after school program for the YMCA. I later went on to working seasonally as a teacher at a daycare while working towards my bachelors degree. I graduated with a degree in elementary education with a specialty in moderate to severe disabilities. I have since then been a special education teacher in an elementary setting as well as a high school setting. In my spare time, I like to explore outdoors such as hiking. I enjoy being active and doing artistic activities such as crochet. I enjoy reading books and spending time with my cat and husband. My skills include organization, communication with the child and parents, and being proactive.
