I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelors in psychology in December of 2015. In January, I was hired as a residential counselor at Northern Illinois Academy Psychiatric Facility. I work with children ages 6 years old to 22 years old that are diagnosed with disorders ranging from but are not limited to bipolar, PTSD, cognitive, autism, and emotional disorders. I assist them with activities of daily living while teaching them life skills. I am passionate about this field and the children. I am currently in graduate school obtaining my masters in clinical mental health counseling. I love kids and have been around them my entire life. I have a 8-year-old sister and a 10-year-old brother and helped watch them since they were infants.
