I have started taking care of children with special needs first when my brother was born, I was the age of 12. He was born with Autism; a mental condition, present from early childhood, characterized by difficulty in communicating and forming relationships with other people and in using language and abstract concepts. He was diagnosed with it at the age of 1. While my parents were at work when I got off school I would take care of him. He is 10 years old now, and I have been helping with volunteer work in his classroom which is specifically children with special needs, mainly autism. Also I have been working with a company who takes special needs adults, and I help them achieve every day goals. I have a love for these children and push them too achieve everything they are capable of doing. Words cannot describe how heart warming and rewarding it is for me to give these kids a reason too smile. I love what I do. I plan to attend college in the spring of 2014 to start my Associates degree in Teaching. This is what I long for, I never let anyone down.
