Rufina worked with our family for two years, beginning when our son was 9 and our daughter was 11, and was a consistent, reliable, and unflappable caregiver. She made sure the kids' reading and homework was done, fed them dinner, and kept the living space tidy. Our daughter is autistic, and Rufina always kept her engaged and active in the community, whether for walks in Prospect Park or visits to the local animal shelter. Rufina is also a very interesting person, and my husband and I had many fun conversations with her about cooking, her family, and her drumming gigs. Any family would be lucky to work with her!
