About Rubi

Hello! I'm an 18-year-old college student at Sacramento State University, majoring in Child and Adolescent Development. Growing up, my parents were always working, so I understand how stressful it can be to find someone trustworthy to care for your children. As the oldest sibling, I often took on the role of caregiver for my younger brothers and sisters. That experience sparked my passion for working with children, and I'm excited to continue learning and growing in this field. Last summer, I completed an internship where I not only handled paperwork but also cared for children while their parents attended meetings. Currently, I'm enrolled in a Child and Adolescent Development course that includes fieldwork, which has given me the opportunity to work hands-on with transitional kindergarteners.
