For the past three years, I have had experience working with children with special needs. I have worked at school in NYC with children that have Autism, Learning disabilities, Aphasia and Emotional Disorder. Currently I am working part-time at a social skills playgroup for children with Autism, ADHD and children that lack social skills. My knowledge of special needs is vast since I have been exposed to so many children that have a variety of disorders. I am also applying to graduate school for Occupational Therapy next fall. I am passionate about what I do because I believe that everyone, no matter what age, has the right to live a "normal" life. No one should be excluded from anything just because they have a disability. My goal is to make a positive change in someone's life and for them to be able to do whatever they want in life.
