Hi, I am a 20-year-old fun energetic college student with a passion for helping people. I am studying psychology at a local college in the city and during my free time I would like to work full time with either children or the elderly I have over all 7 years of child care experience and 1 year of nursing assistant experience. I know your probably wondering how some one my age could have so much experience... Well my niece was born when I was 12 and in my family its tradition for the older kids to take care of the younger ones instead of paying an outside source to do it, so I would babysit my new born niece after school and on weekends. Then 5 years later my nephew was born, so I would babysit both of them and even now and then I take care of them. Also when I was 13 I got my first job in a day camp where I was an assistant art teacher. During that time I looked after kids between the ages of 5 & 7 for about 5 hours a day and I did that for 2 summers. Then while in high school studying nursing I wanted to have extra money in my pocket so after school I worked in a day care that my niece just so happen to be going to at the same and because the day care was very close to my home and school I worked there on and off for 3 years. Once I graduated from high school I had a 5 month internship as an nursing assistant at a nursing home and then found a job at another nursing home and worked there for 5 months during my first semester of college I just recently took some time off from school and would like to spend that long term time working as a care provider.
