Enter a zip code to get matched with caregivers that meet your needs
My senior year, I knew I wanted to be a teacher, so I enrolled in a preparation class. A requirement for the class, was to work in a classroom, helping teach and prepare assignments. I chose to work at the school for the Deaf and the Blind. I worked at the blind middle school, that year and loved it! I was able to get experience, with all types of great personalities, including children with special needs. After working at the Deaf and Blind school, I looked for more opportunities to work with kids, with special needs. I got a job as a camp leader, at the special needs summer camp, for teens and learned so much! I did that for two years and since then have continued to work with special needs. I also got my CNA last semester to broaden my skills.
